Dr. Fernando Caumont, MD

Dr. Caumont graduated from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine. He completed his residency in urology in Churruca-Visca Hospital and got his certification in urology from University of Buenos Aires. After completing his residency, he was an attending physician in Churruca-Visca for 6 years, focusing his practice in urologic oncology and laparoscopic surgery. He completed a two-year fellowship in urologic oncology from the Society of Urologic Oncology at Virginia Mason Medical Center, in Seattle. Dr. Caumont was involved in multiple presentations at various scientific meetings and involved in a multidisciplinary research group, which received the Conquer Cancer Foundation Merit Award of American Society of Clinical Oncology in 2018 and 2019. He is a member of the American Urological Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Argentinian Urological Association. He recently joined the Center for Urology, advocating for the care of patients with urological conditions, with a special interest in the Spanish speaking population of the Greater Rochester Area. Dr. Caumont will be actively involved in urologic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, and general urology.
