Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse

  • We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) / RN (Registered Nurse)to work directly with a physician assisting with his daily office schedule. The ideal candidate will be professional and efficient and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Travel to multiple offices is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Record a patient’s medical history accurately

    • Chart review and preparation

    • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.

    • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.

    • Administer injections, prescribed medications, and catheters.

    • Assist MD with office visits, procedures and minor surgical procedures.

    • Communicate with patients’ family or friends to relay information as needed.

    • Assist fellow team members with phone calls, stocking, set-up, sterilizing and other responsibilities as needed.

    Skills

    • Proven experience as LPN or similar role

    • Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards and procedures

    • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices

    • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology

    • Good computer skills and accurate data entry

    • Good physical condition and stamina

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Compassionate and able to handle stress

    • Successful completion of LPN license program is a must

    Qualifications:

    • Current State Nursing License

    • Willing to travel between offices

    • Vaccination and Booster Mandatory

Medical Secretary ( Batavia Office, Ridgeway Office and Culver Office

  • Center for Urology is looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated team providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a professional, courteous environment. Our practice delivers expert care in and around the Rochester area with eight offices across Western New York. The right candidate is detail-oriented, able to work well in a fast-paced team environment, and willing to perform clerical duties as assigned to maintain workflow in their department.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Professionally greeting and welcoming patients and their family/friends.

    • Checking patients in/out for their scheduled office appointments.

    • Scheduling and confirming patient diagnostic appointments (imaging and laboratory services) and medical consultations.

    • Obtaining authorization from patient's insurance.

    • Courteously answering, screening, and directing all incoming calls and connecting callers with the correct extension while relaying messages between patients and clinical staff.

    • Ability to manage providers' schedules and coordinate patient care.

    • Recording/investigating patient cancellations and missed appointments.

    • Responding to emergency and urgent calls from patients and providers in a timely manner.

    • Transmitting correspondence and medical records by mail, phone, or fax.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent (Required) associate degree (Preferred).

    • Experience in a medical setting (Strongly preferred)

    • Tech proficiency and experience with Electronic Medical Records systems (Strongly preferred). Medent knowledge a plus.

    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.

    • Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

    • Flexibility and willingness to travel to other offices if necessary.
